The short version

Some links on this site earn us a commission if you buy through them. It costs you nothing extra. It does not change what we recommend.

Amazon Associates

MyDeskForge is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Other affiliate programs

We also participate in affiliate programs run by other retailers and manufacturers. When you click a link to a merchant on this site and make a purchase, that can result in this site earning a commission.

How to identify affiliate links

Affiliate links are marked in the page source with rel="nofollow sponsored" and open in a new tab. Pages containing them carry a notice at the top. Buttons labelled "Check price", "Check price on Amazon" or "Buy" are affiliate links.

Every one of them is listed in a single public file, assets/data/affiliates.json. You can read it to see exactly which links on this site are monetised and where each one points. Citations in our articles — links to Cornell, the Mayo Clinic, NIOSH, Cochrane, the NHS, the WHO and BIFMA — are never affiliate links and earn us nothing.

What commission does not buy

This is the part that matters:

Where we have not tested enough products in a category to rank them honestly, we say that on the page rather than filling it with links.

Prices

Prices mentioned on this site are approximate and were accurate at the time of writing. Retailers change prices frequently — always check the current price on the retailer's own page before buying.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think a piece of coverage looks influenced by commission, tell us. More on our editorial approach is on the about page.
